I chose the painting “Wheat Field with Crows” by Vincent Van Gogh to create his portrait. The painting was finished near the end of Van Gogh’s life. I liked the rows of the wheat field in the artwork so that I could accentuate the contours of his face plus it had a kind of sadness to it that I think embodied his life.
